Paleo Granola

A couple of friends have asked about my recipe for Paleo Granola. So I want to share. First though, I can't take the credit!! My second mom, Susu, recently began eating Paleo and had this when I got to work the other day. Took me only a day to make it to the store to get the ingredients to make it. So without further ado...

Paleo Granola

You can add any amounts you want. Sorry but you kind of have to wing it!

Raw Pumpkin Seeds
Raw or Roasted (unsalted) Sunflower Seeds
Raw Walnuts cut into small bites
Raw sliced Almonds
Dried Cranberries (hard to find these without sugar added)
1/4 Honey (approximate)
1 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon

Pre-heat oven to 225 or 250 degrees.
Dump all the nuts and seeds in a mixing bowl.
Add Cinnamon and Honey.
Pour onto a foil lined baking sheet and make a single layer.
Bake in 15 minute increments stirring after each 15 minutes.
Bake for a total of about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Break the granola apart and place in an air tight container.

Warning! Don't eat too much at one time!!!!!!! Seriously Addicting!!!!

Enjoy and let me know how it turns out!!!!
Much Love!

P.S. Coming Soon! An all about Paleo Blog!

More Photography

My friend Jeannie is helping me improve my photo taking ability. I really don't think I should call it photography just yet. One thing that has been making me crazy is the composition of my photos. So Jeannie has been teaching me about the rule of thirds. Completely makes sense to me. I am also completely addicted to the actions I have found from Pioneer Woman and MCP. Although I only use the free ones, they have helped me a ton. I am learning, and in the process falling more in love with taking pictures. I find so much joy in photographing my children. Here are a few from my practice session with Stella bird. And for every good one there were about 10 that were not so great. Look out David Edmonson, here I come! :)

Photography 101

My friends have graciously been trying to teach me how to take better pictures. I am so thankful for their help, and I think out of 250 pictures, these turned out pretty good. What do you think?

I have started a little side business of making these adorable Budget Bags. If you are budgeting and tired of the plain ol' accordion file, this should be the answer for you. We began budgeting back in January and since I wasn't really looking forward to it, I decided to make something that would make me smile every time I needed to reach for cash. Now that I have started the cash only budget, I will never go back to credit. It has been so freeing.

I have several colors available...and they are custom to your categories. I will try to get available colors posted soon.

Email me at for orders or questions....please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. I will ship them anywhere in the US as well.

Budget Bag with 6 envelopes..................$40
Budget Bag with 7-10 envelopes.............$45
Budget Bag with 10-15 envelopes...........$50

*all include a velcro change envelope

Scrapbooking is back to relaxing!

I have really been struggling to get back into scrapbooking our lives. I have really wanted to do digital scrapbooking, but it really has just gotten hard to get done. So I tried using Smilebox...but I feel like the layouts aren't good enough for what I know I can do in photoshop. So I long as it may take, I am going to be scrapbooking using photoshop.

I love looking at all the pictures from when Levi was little. so fun to remember how adorable he was and look forward to the little man he is becoming. I have just been cherishing these should too.

Here are a couple...

Edmonson Photos

When I look at these pictures, it reminds me of how blessed I am to have such an amazing family.  Our dear friend David Edmonson took these pictures for us.  It was an amazing experience and the outcome was unbelievable.  I can't wait to get them on canvas and hang them in the house.  The family photo and the one of Stella in the garden are going to be entered in a competition in November for David.  I so hope he wins!
